Their long, rolling syllables mark them out from the clipped birth names, and Goliaths often say the two together precisely to enjoy the contrast. When a Goliath introduces themselves formally, they lead with the birth name, follow with the clan name, and close with whichever earned name they currently hold — a small ceremony that lays out their whole identity in a single breath.

The earned name is the heart of Goliath culture, and it is the one part of the name a Goliath truly owns. No Goliath is born with an earned name. • Ranger: Goliath Rangers draw earned names from the high wilderness they master — Skywatcher, Frostwalker, Lonehunter. A ranger's nickname should evoke tracking, weather-reading, and survival above the tree line.
